Bet You Didn’t Know We Could Get You These

Category: Promotional Items — Tags: , — Sarah @ 1:20 pm

Have your clients heard from you recently?

If not, maybe it’s time to check in and say hi. After all, the holiday season is fast approaching, and reminding your customers that you’re thinking of them around the holidays is the friendly thing to do. (And hey, if it also results in a ton of business for you, so be it.)

Of course, with all that’s going on at this time of year, your “hello” is going to have to be pretty memorable to stick out in your clients’ minds. Luckily, your pals at imPress have got your back.

All The Promo Items You’ll Ever Need

Since we’re admittedly print-obsessed, we’ll never hate on postcards, fliers, or other amazing printed masterpieces, but sometimes promotional items are the way to go if you really want to get your clients’ attention. And if being remembered is important to you, then you probably want to go with a promotional item that’s a little more on the unique side.

Now, when it comes to promotional items, there isn’t much of anything we can’t get for you. If you have an idea, we can work with you to make it happen. But just to give you a glimpse into the wide wacky array of goodies that we have to work with, here are a few examples of promotional items that would definitely help you stand out.

  • Say hello with an orange poncho. Give your clients the gift of a dry outfit during an unexpected downpour. They’ll have to love you forever if you save their dry-clean only suits from the elements.
  • Remind them of the special chemistry between you with a chemical flask squeeze toy! For that client who has everything.
  • Give them your best with an apron! Just look how much this happy guy likes his!
  • Tell them how much they mean to you with a customized Rubik’s cube. Who doesn’t appreciate a new way to procrastinate?
  • Thank your special client with a silicone basting brush. It’s the best way we can think of to make your clients think of you at home…maybe even on Thanksgiving!

We could go on for weeks, but it’s probably sufficient to say that if we can get you squeeze toys shaped like tacos, ATM machines, and human intestines, we can get almost anything.

And in addition to our amazing selection, we also have great taste. If you’re not sure how left-field to go or what message your daring idea would send, we’d be happy to help fine-tune your ideas to make them perfect.

Let us help you find a new, fun, memorable way to brighten your clients’ days this season.

Why Relationships Matter

Category: Promotional Items — Tags: , , — Sarah @ 9:03 am

In a post about relationships, we couldn’t help but go Seventeen style and start with a little quiz.  (Unfortunately, the quiz won’t help you to determine whether your current flame is really Mr. or Ms. Right.  But it will still be fun!) Here we go!

All other factors being equal…

1. Who are you more likely to buy Girl Scout cookies from?

A) Your niece

B) A random kid who sets up a stand outside of Price Chopper

2. Are you more likely to enroll your child in

A) A daycare center run by your best friend

B) A daycare center that you saw advertised in the newspaper

3. Who are you more likely to hire to mow your lawn?

A) Your nephew’s lawn mowing company

B) A landscaping company whose number was printed on the side of that truck that almost hit you on the Thruway the other day

There really is no right answer to these questions.  But we’d bet a quart of egg nog that the majority of people would answer A to all three of them.  Why?  People value relationships.  If you are in need of a particular service and you know someone who specializes in that service, chances are, you are going to give your business to the person you know and like.

If you don’t happen to have a whole family tree of people who are in need of your particular service, however, this idea is still super important.  Even if your relationship with a customer began when your business transactions began, you can still foster the type of relationship that will make this client come back again and again.

It’s all about making your clients comfortable with you and your business.  If you and your employees do an effective job while being courteous and friendly, you are likely to have repeat customers who trust your company and look forward to doing business with you.  You need to show your customers that you like them as much as you like their money.

And it doesn’t hurt to go out of your way to remind your clients that you value the relationships you have with them.  Giving promotional items or sending holiday greetings and gifts to your clients can show that you value not only their business, but the relationships they have formed with you.

An additional bonus that goes along with being buddies with your clients is the power of the word of mouth that can follow.  You want each client not only to maintain his relationship with you, but also to talk it up with his friends.

And suddenly you can find yourself on the right end of a chain reaction that starts with each customer saying, “Yo, I’ve got this pal down at <Your Business Name Here> who can definitely help you out…”

The Perfect Gift

Category: Marketing, Promotional Items — Tags: , — Sarah @ 9:00 am

Ready or not, the holiday season is right around the corner.  If you want to stay ahead of the game, you might want to start thinking about what thoughtful presents you will give to your clients and business associates.

To save you time and take the guesswork out of holiday gift giving, the team here at imPress has come up with a list of possibilities for you.  We’ll call it our “Top Five ImPressive Holiday Gifts” list.  (See what we did there?)

5. A membership to a Jelly of the Month Club.  As Cousin Eddie has noted, it’s one gift that keeps on givin’.

4. Anything inflatable.

3. A homemade Christmas music mix CD.  Don’t hold back on the Yanni or Kenny G.

2. A Zamboni.

And, the absolute best, most totally tubular holiday gift is…

1. A gift basket!

Gift baskets are awesome presents for the holiday season, or actually, for any time.  They top our list for a number of reasons.

A Gift for a Crowd

Many gifts are pretty difficult to share.  Something like a Zamboni, for instance, might be a thrill for its direct recipient, but only one person can enjoy it at a time.  However, when you give a gift basket to one of your business contacts, that one gift basket can be shared by his whole company.  We’ve all experienced the joy in an employee break room when someone has brought in a yummy treat to share.  When you send a gift basket, you are setting yourself up to be the superhero who surprised everyone with a bunch of goodies.

The Possibilities Are Endless

Gift baskets are also a perfect choice because they allow for limitless options.  You can incorporate all different types of gifts within the basket so that you can appeal to the tastes of a diverse group.  You can mix and match to include anything from coffee to candles to gourmet pasta.

Name-drop Yourself

Another plus – gift baskets allow you to sneak some marketing into your present.  Gift baskets can include carefully selected promotional items and be tied up with a ribbon imprinted with your company’s name.  You might as well take credit for your thoughtfulness, right?

So as the holiday season rolls around, consider honoring each of your loyal clients with a gift basket.  (And for the record…you should probably disregard gift possibilities #2 through #5…unless you have very interesting clients.)
